In cooperation with Tallmadge High School FCCLA, Dare to Share distributes food bags each Friday to students throughout the school district. During the school year volunteers from the church run the lunches from the High School to the Middle schools and the Elementary schools. This group is family oriented and organizes activities that involve the whole family. There are several organized events throughout the year. These events include the Progressive Dinner/Picnic, Soup-a-thon, Camping, Easter Egg Hunt and an occasional evening out.
Small local missions are conducted throughout the year. They may vary from year to year. Their focus may be the homeless, battered women or shut-ins. Provides technical support for audio, visual during early morning service and late morning service. Also provides support for the TUMC website.
Volunteers from the congregation provide funeral dinners for members of the church or sometimes relatives of church members. The pastor offers this to the families when he meets with them. Volunteers help prepare, setup, serve and cleanup for the dinners that are served. The group works with the family to provide for their specific needs.
